Water Treatment Plants /Pumping Stations

In order to provide safe, pure and wholesome water as per the required standards to human beings, raw water from different sources has to be treated. This treatment is carried out at water treatment plants (WTP) . A WTP consists of different parts depending upon the quality of raw water and requirements of various sections of the society. Location of WTP also depends upon the sources of raw water.

Pumping stations are required for lifting water from one level where flow by gravity is not possible. These may be both, for raw water and treated filtered water. Even for equitable distribution of water, Pumping Stations are required. Power, electricity, pumps and other such accessories are essential for these pumping stations. Sometimes for boosting the pressure in water mains, such pumping stations are required.
